Meet Ashley Parks, a Medical Lab Assistant who works in the lab at the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) in Prince George.
Ashley’s passion for people and her work shines through as she draws blood from 83-year-old David Scott.
"I like working here,” says Ashley. “I like that I'm on my feet all day, and that I like that I'm actually doing stuff that helps people."
Thanks to the new extended lab hours (part of the Ministry of Health’s Urgent and Primary Care Centre funding), David was able to get his tests done on a Sunday.
