Lorrie loves her career! The ECG Assistant has worked for Northern Health since 1992.

“I like the people contact,” she says.

Lorrie is shown with David, a patient at the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) in Prince George.

“The first thing we check is the motor to the body – the heart,” she says.

Lorrie enjoys building relationships with the patients she sees regularly.

“One of them, he’s now in palliative care,” she says. “We call each other buddy. We say, ‘Hey, buddy!’”
