COVID-19 – Dawson Creek & District Hospital Outbreak - (Update)

Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared an end to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Medical Inpatient Unit at Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

In total since the outbreak was declared April 19, 2020, there were four patient cases and one staff case of COVID-19, as well as two deaths of patients who had tested positive in association with the outbreak. There have been no new lab-confirmed cases related to the outbreak since April 21, 2021. 

COVID-19 outbreak update – BC Hydro Site C project; contractor workforces

Ongoing monitoring and testing have not identified any new cases of COVID-19 associated with an outbreak declared by NH Medical Health Officers on April 28, 2021, among contracted workforces on the Site C hydroelectric dam project in Northeast BC.

To date, there have been 39 lab-confirmed cases identified among clusters of COVID-19 activity involving various contractors. There have been no new cases since the previous update (May 7).

COVID-19 outbreak update – BC Hydro Site C project; contractor workforces

Ongoing monitoring and testing has identified additional COVID-19 cases associated with an outbreak declared by NH Medical Health Officers on April 28, 2021, among contracted workforces on the Site C hydroelectric dam project in Northeast BC.

To date, in association with this outbreak (involving separate clusters of COVID-19 activity since March 2021), there have been 39 lab-confirmed cases identified among various contractors (an increase of five).

A total of eight cases, involving two contractors, are currently active (31 have recovered).

COVID-19 Outbreak declared over at Acropolis Manor in Prince Rupert

Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared an end to the COVID-19 outbreak at Acropolis Manor in Prince Rupert.

In total, 5 residents tested positive for COVID-19 in association with the outbreak that was declared April 3, 2021, and four have since recovered. One resident who had tested positive, passed away. There were no associated staff cases.

Northern Health Public Health continues to actively monitor and follow up all laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among staff and patients at any NH facilities.

COVID-19 Outbreak declared over at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital – Patient Care Unit

Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared an end to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Patient Care Unit at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

In total since the outbreak was declared March 28, there were three lab confirmed cases among inpatients, and one lab-confirmed case in a staff member. There have been no new lab-confirmed cases related to the outbreak since April 1, 2021. 

COVID-19 – Dawson Creek & District Hospital Outbreak - Update

Ongoing monitoring and testing of staff and patients following the April 19, 2021 declaration of a COVID-19 outbreak on the medical inpatient unit at Dawson Creek & District Hospital has identified additional lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19.

As of April 23, four patients and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19 related to the outbreak.
