Sharing the hidden gems of the North: #SnapsByStaff

Calm waters reflecting clouds, shadows of mountains, and the orange setting sun of the background.
#SnapsByStaff features Northern Health staff photos from across the North, like this gorgeous sunset over Stuart Lake captured by Amy Nunley, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist.

Northern Health staff are integral members of our Northern communities, not just in their professional roles but also in their daily lives. Some have deep roots here, while others have relocated to the North for work, the lifestyle, and the opportunities it offers for them and their families.

Life in the North fosters a unique sense of community and pride in our villages, towns, and cities. It’s common to bump into familiar faces when visiting other Northern towns, which is just one small part of the charm that is Northern living.

Northern BC offers small-town living combined with big opportunities for adventure! There’s plenty of exploration available including hiking, days at the lake, mountain-biking, snowmobiling, and more … all while taking in stunning views! There’s also ample opportunity to explore the Indigenous heritage of the area and expand your knowledge on the history of these communities.

To celebrate our vibrant North, we’re continuing with the #SnapsByStaff campaign. We’ve invited staff to share their personal snapshots, which we feature weekly to highlight the hidden gems of the North.

Here’s a roundup of some of the ones we’ve shared recently!

Thanks to all those staff members who have submitted photos. Stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram, and X channels to see if your community’s included in our future features!
