Celebration is the current feeling in Kitimat, as the community surpassed the 80 per cent COVID-19 immunization rate for residents 12 years old and over! They are the second community in the North to reach this particular milestone, after Queen Charlotte.
This success is due to the tireless efforts of the Haisla Nation, the First Nations Health Authority, and the Northern Health staff and vaccine planning team, as well as our community partners, including the District of Kitimat and local industry partners, for their efforts in immunizing and promoting vaccinations. Way to go Kitimat!
