Tamara Sommer holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from UNBC and a Certificate in Emergency Management from the Justice Institute of BC. Currently pursuing her master's in nutrition and dietetics, part of her practical education was with Northern Health’s population health nutrition team for a 5-week placement. She hopes to combine her knowledge of emergency management and dietetics to support food security projects across British Columbia, helping to ensure everyone in the province has access to nutritious food.
