Maggie Kotowich is an Indigenous Registered Nurse working in the Student Practice Education department as the Northwest Clinical Lead.

She supports the development, growth, and integration of nursing students, employed student nurses, and new graduate nurses into Northern Health. She is passionate about incorporating nēhiýawēwin (the Cree language) and cultural initiatives into her work with a particular focus on how language and culture contributes to culturally safe care and wellness. 

Maggie is also active with her Masters research through the University of Victoria. In that space, she contributes her own lived experiences to different initiatives and research opportunities to strengthen the Indigenous perspective within nursing academia/research.
