As a new graduate nurse, she spent a year in Fort Nelson, where she developed a passion for emergency nursing. Subsequently, she relocated to Abbotsford to work in a busy emergency room, where she completed her critical care emergency program through British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). She continued her work in Abbotsford for four years before returning to Prince George in 2020, where she joined UHNBC’s emergency room team. Since joining GoHealth BC in 2024, Kate has been challenged to expand her practice in rural settings and has had the opportunity to explore various regions of British Columbia. Outside of her professional life, Kate enjoys spending time with her five-year-old springer spaniel, doing CrossFit, photography, camping, and engaging in outdoor activities.
