Kara was born and raised in Prince George. She graduated from UNBC in 2009. After graduation, Kara worked in Fort Nelson as a Registered Nurse briefly before returning to Prince George. Since returning to Prince George, Kara has worked in many different areas at UHNBC including: Surgery, burn and wound care, IV therapy and the ostomy clinic. Throughout her nursing experiences she has come to love wound care and is working towards her certification as nurse who specializes in wound, ostomy and continence care. Outside of work Kara is a fur mom to 2 crazy heelers. She loves kayaking and exploring the outdoors.
