Farzana Amin
Lead, Regional Chronic Disease Strategic Initiatives
Farzana joined Northern Health in April 2016, bringing over 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector from different regions of the world. Prior to joining Northern Health, she worked as a physician, epidemiologist, and researcher in Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Germany. Farzana has also worked as an Assistant Professor in epidemiology and biostatistics at two different universities in Malaysia and as a Research Physician with the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. Her research interests include chronic diseases, specifically HIV, HIV with co-infection Hep B and Hep C, cardiovascular diseases, and social inequities in health. In her spare time, you can find Farzana in the kitchen experimenting with different international cuisines or in her garden.
