Introducing Let's Talk Northern Health.

Northern Health is committed to connecting with the public, our patients and families, our staff and physicians, and other stakeholders in two-way communication that makes sure our decisions are informed by your ideas and needs so that our services fit the communities we serve.

That’s why we’re proud to launch Let’s Talk Northern Health!

What is Let’s Talk Northern Health?

Let’s Talk is an online platform that lets Northerners learn about, stay updated on, and connect about community health services and our facilities. You’ll be able to keep up-to-date and ask questions as major projects, such as capital projects, move through various stages of development, from planning to construction or implementation. Some stages will require more input from community members than other stages, so check back often for updates and calls for engagement. We’ll also post these opportunities through social media, including our community Facebook groups.

What’s on Let’s Talk Northern Health now?

To launch this new feedback website, we’re starting with our three biggest capital projects:

Two projects are already in the procurement stage (Mills Memorial Hospital and Stuart Lake Hospital), and Dawson Creek and District Hospital is currently waiting for approval of its business plan.

Each project will start with a Q & A section where community members can ask questions about each project specifically. More engagement tools will come online as projects continue.

Why Let’s Talk Northern Health?

Our 2016-2021 Strategic Plan emphasizes two-way communication, and this another way of accomplishing that goal. Most times, the conversations and consultations on this site are part of a larger effort to give people more than one way to provide input on an initiative we’re working on. For instance, we host different in-person engagement events – like open houses, budget consultations, and community meetings – but, we recognize that face-to-face engagement isn't always possible. Let’s Talk Northern Health complements our face-to-face options, as well as our other digital channels, like social media.

What happens to my feedback? Is it private?

All the feedback and comments we receive on this site are combined with feedback from other sources (like public meetings). Then it’s summarized, sorted into categories, and shared with decision makers. As part of our process we report back what we have heard.

This online space allows for private email messages, public comments, and conversation. As such, whether or not your feedback is confidential or private depends on how you choose to interact with the site. Please do not share personal health information on this site. Private comments or feedback about a project can be sent to that project’s email address.
