Vaccine appointment capacity doubling in Prince George; brief pause on bookings

Northern Health
Information Bulletin

**January 8 update to the below information bulletin released yesterday: The booking pause referred to is no longer required, and the additional capacity for upcoming Prince George vaccine clinics at the PG Conference & Civic Centre are available for booking in the Get Vaccinated provincial system, online and by phone. Thank you.**

Northern Health is working to double capacity for COVID-19 vaccinations in Prince George, adding additional clinic days each week and returning to the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre for expanded clinic space.

Prince George residents are advised that between Friday January 7, and approximately 9 am Tuesday January 11, appointments between January 12 and 29 will not be available to book in the Get Vaccinated booking system, either online or by phone. The booking pause is required as the additional appointment capacity is added to the system. No previously scheduled appointments are impacted by the booking pause.

When booking resumes on Tuesday, Prince George residents will have access to the significantly increased number of available appointments throughout January, often within days of booking. Depending on personal preference, you can book now for an appointment beyond January 29th, or wait until the earlier appointments become available in the system on Tuesday. As of the week of January 17, NH vaccine clinics in Prince George will have capacity to administer approximately one thousand doses per day.

Individuals with previously booked appointments should look closely at their appointment reminder notification for confirmation of their clinic location. The Northern Health website is the most up to date source for information on current clinic schedules and locations.
