Northern Health
Information Bulletin

Northern Health Public Health continues to monitor a COVID-19 outbreak at the LNG Canada Project Site in Kitimat, BC, among staff of Diversified Transportation working at the project site.

As of December 30, 2020, 16 employees have tested positive for COVID-19 in association with this outbreak (no change since the December 22 update). There are now no active cases (a change from nine).

Northern Health Public Health, LNG Canada, and Diversified Transportation are encouraged that no new cases have been identified since December 14. The outbreak will only be declared over once NH Public Health is confident there is no further transmission of illness. NH Public Health will monitor closely, and the outbreak will be declared over if there are no further cases after two 14-day incubation periods from the last potential exposure date.

This will be the final regular update regarding total case counts, recoveries and isolations, pending any additional cases.
