COVID-19 – Dawson Creek & District Hospital Outbreak - (Update)

Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared an end to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Medical Inpatient Unit at Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

In total since the outbreak was declared April 19, 2020, there were four patient cases and one staff case of COVID-19, as well as two deaths of patients who had tested positive in association with the outbreak. There have been no new lab-confirmed cases related to the outbreak since April 21, 2021. 

Northern Health again thanks patients and their families for their understanding and patience, and Dawson Creek & District Hospital staff and physicians for continuing to provide excellent care, during this recent outbreak period. NH Public Health continues to actively monitor and follow up all laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among staff and patients at any NH facilities.
